Seaside Holidays

Last week, the children in Year 1 visited Abbey House Museum in Leeds to find out more about what life was like for the Victorians when they went on holiday to the seaside. The children looked at the clothes that the Victorians might have worn when they went to the seaside and compared it to what they would wear. The class also got the chance to see a real Punch and Judy show before they made their own puppets. Anastazja said, “I got to dress up as a Victorian lady at the seaside! They wore a long dress, hat and trousers to go in the sea. Grayson added, “We got to see some of the souvenirs they would buy at the seaside from a long time ago. There were old postcards and whistle mugs.”

Congratulations to the following children for winning an achievement award at Tuesday’s assembly.
