Children are typically in school for 32.5 hours per week.
Start of School
A great deal of importance is placed on good time-keeping in school and we respectfully ask parents to ensure that their child arrives at school on time.
Registration opens at: 8.45am
Registration closes at: 9.00am
End of School
Apart from Year 6, children are not allowed out of their class until they are collected by a parent or carer. Only older siblings, who are 16 or over, can collect pupils from the academy. If parents/carers are unavoidably delayed and are unable to collect their child at the correct time, the teachers will ask the child to remain in the classroom for approximately 10 minutes and then the teacher will bring the child to wait by the entrance to school. We encourage parents to contact the academy if they are going to be late to avoid children getting worried or upset. Children in Year 6 are allowed to walk home alone if the academy has received written consent from a parent or carer. At the beginning of each academic year, parents are expected to complete a child collection consent slip.
