This week, the children in Year 5 had the opportunity to go inside a mobile planetarium and find out more information about our amazing universe. Inside, the children looked at a screen which covered the roof.  Then, they went on a journey to space and looked at its history. The visitor showed different galaxies and gave facts about them such as that the Sun will keep expanding over time! Kate said, “I really enjoyed looking at the galaxies.  I learnt that Pluto, a dwarf planet, orbits the Sun differently to the other planets in our solar system.  Tajus added, “In actual fact, there are five dwarf planets but there could be many more that haven’t yet been discovered.”

Congratulations to the following children for winning an achievement award at Tuesday’s assembly.
