Last week, the children in Year 6 took their geography lesson outside and completed some fieldwork. The children walked around Hemsworth to look at the different ways that the land is used and has been built on. The children drew sketch maps of physical and human features. They will add detail to their drawings by adding the correct geographical words when they are back in the classroom. After the fieldwork, Harry and Willow said, “We learnt the different types of land use in our geography lesson this week. These are recreational, industrial, agricultural, commercial and residential. We are now going to label these on the maps that we did during our fieldwork.”
Congratulations to the following children for winning an achievement award at Tuesday’s assembly.
