A proud member of

Yorkshire Wildlife Park

Yesterday, our year 1 children visited the Yorkshire Wildlife Park in Doncaster to learn even more about animals. The children got the opportunity to walk around the zoo in the morning and see different animals such as the wallabies, meerkats and tigers. After lunch, they took part in a workshop. The children looked at how animals were classified into different groups and the reasons why. Cole said, “I know there are five different types of animal groups: fish, birds, reptiles, amphibians and mammals. We saw a snake, which is a reptile, and  this is my favourite animal.” Evelyn added, “I liked holding the giant snail as it was interesting to see how the scales felt on their shell.”
