This term, the children in Year 5 have been making algorithms using a Crumble in their computing lessons. The class have looked at how computer programmers make things operate. By linking Crumble equipment to the computer, the children have learnt how to make an output do different things. They have entered a series of instructions into the computer and checked that it worked. After the lesson, Kate said, “I enjoyed making the sparkle (an output) light up and I made it change different colours by setting instructions on the computer.” Maci added “The programming was similar to Scratch as we used the skills from those lessons to build an algorithm with the Crumble.”
Congratulations to the following children for winning an achievement award at Tuesday’s assembly.
Year 1: Addison Hopkins
Year 2: Elsie Keightley
