Recently, our year 4 class visited Leeds City Museum to find out more about the Ancient Egyptian civilisation. The children had the opportunity to explore artefacts from Ancient Egyptian times as they walked around the museum. They also saw the famous mummified remains of Nesyamun. After, the class took part in a workshop to help them remember the different stages of mummification. After the trip, Parker said, “We learnt that the Ancient Egyptians used salt and cinnamon to embalm the mummy.” Tommy added, “During World War 2, the famous Nesyamun was one of the few artefacts in the museum to survive the bombing.”
Congratulations to the following children for winning an achievement award at Tuesday’s assembly.
