Last week, the School Council had a special assembly with the whole of the school to share the work they have been doing around attendance. The School Council were able to share the child-friendly attendance document that they have written this term. They talked about why they have written it and the important things that they wanted to include before answering the children’s questions. Oliver said, “It is important that we made all of the children aware of how important it was to come to school every day even when you might not be feeling 100%.” Mylie added, “It was also good for Mrs Sherrard to speak to the school as she shared important messages about how to improve our attendance.”
