This week, the children in year 5 visited the Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds to consolidate their learning of Ancient Greeks in the classroom. The children took part in a special Myths and Legends workshop to learn more about the drama of Perseus and Medusa. Later, they found out more about life in an Ancient Greek army by copying the formations and manoeuvres of a warrior. Henley said, “I enjoyed looking at the weapons and armour from more than two thousand years ago and being able to look at how it has changed over time.”  Amelia added, “We learnt how to be a fierce Spartan warrior. We had to attack and defend as well as holding a battle pose. It was hard to steal the bracelet without being caught.”

Congratulations to the following children for winning an achievement award at Tuesday’s assembly.
