Last week, the writing ambassadors hosted a special assembly to celebrate National Storytelling week and the power of sharing stories. The ambassadors talked about why we tell stories and played a game where the rest of the school had to guess famous stories from the clues that they gave. Members of the creative writing club also shared their own imaginative stories with their classmates. Elsie said, “I enjoyed writing a story about one of my hobbies – football. I wanted the reader to question what might come next by not telling the audience the result of the cup final.” Tommy added, “Sharing our descriptive stories was a way of encouraging the children to read more.”
