PE Lessons For All

13.09.2024

This week, some children in year 6 hosted a special whole-school assembly about disability in sport. During their English lessons last week, the year 6 children found out that only one in four disabled children have a PE lesson each week. From this, the children wanted to learn more about how to make sport inclusive for all. They shared their ideas as well as some facts about the recent Paralympics. In the assembly, Kacper said, “Today, the Paralympic games is for all disabled athletes although originally the event was for injured soldiers.”  Kate added, “The Paralympics is an important and inclusive way to give disabled athletes their time to shine.”

Congratulations to the following children for winning an achievement award at Tuesday’s assembly.
