A proud member of

Christmas Carols

19/12/2025

Last week, the children in year 5 had the opportunity to visit a local care home and sing Christmas carols to the residents. The children carried out this work as part of their citizenship award that they are working towards this academic year. In their RE lessons, the class have been looking at the importance of supporting the community and learnt how volunteer groups give up their own time, without pay, to do this. Afterwards, Harry and Harper said, “It was a really enjoyable experience to go and visit the care home and spread some Christmas joy. We got the chance to speak to some of the residents and they told us stories about when they were children and their own families which was really interesting.”

Congratulations to the following children for winning an achievement award at Tuesday’s assembly.
