This week, the children in our Reception class put on a special performance to their parents showcasing the work they have been doing during Rhyme Time. Rhyme Time allows the youngest children to continually develop their communication and language skills. Each week, the children learn a new song or rhyme. After a few days, they add in actions to their routine before performing it in front of their friends. Mrs Johnson, the English leader, said, “Rhyme Time is a magical part of the day where children experiment with new language, internalise phonetics and memorise popular or traditional rhymes. It is great to see everyone having so much fun with this part of the curriculum and performing their work to real audiences with such confidence.”
Congratulations to the following children for winning an achievement award at Tuesday’s assembly.
