A proud member of

Word of the month

30.09.2022

Recently, the children found out their new “word of the month” which has been introduced to further develop our children’s language. The children considered what they thought the word, which is specific to their class, might mean as well as discussing how the word could be used in the correct context.  The children also thought about how they could use known patterns to help them spell the word correctly. Jaxson said, “Our word of the month is desolation and I have already used it in my writing when describing the effects of a bomb on the ground during World War Two.”  Mrs. Johnson added, “A robust vocabulary improves all areas of communication and is critical to a child’s success.”

Congratulations to the following children for winning an achievement award at Tuesday’s assembly.
