Wellbeing Training

11.11.22

Last week, some of our children in years 4 and 5 took part in mental health and wellbeing training so that they can support others around school.

The visitor trained the children on how to solve problems that others might have. At the start, the children were quite adamant on trying to solve the problems. By the end, they understood that the role is about listening carefully to the other person and asking open questions.

After the training, Lyla said, “It is important that we are an active listener and really concentrate on what is being said.”  Maci added, “We know that we should tell the child that we can’t keep secrets and that any concerns would be written in our notepad and passed to a teacher.”

Congratulations to the following children for winning an achievement award at Tuesday’s assembly.
