Last week, the children in year 5 visited the National Space Centre to follow up on the work that they have been doing in class. At the museum, the children got the chance to visit the UK’s largest planetarium and different interactive galleries. In class, the children have been learning about the solar system in science and the race to the moon in their history lessons. Tommy said, “The planetarium was the best part as it made you feel that you were actually floating around in space as we moved in a rocket.” Cayden added, “We got to look at a detailed timeline of the space race and saw images of the satellites that the USSR used.”
Congratulations to the following children for winning an achievement award at Tuesday’s assembly.
