A proud member of

The Queen’s Hat

10.03.2022

This year, our children celebrated World Book Day by reading “The Queen’s Hat” and they took part in lots of different activities about the story. Some children acted out the story and used musical instruments to add their own sound effects.  Other children got the chance to alter parts of the story.  They considered different parts of the world where the hat might have flown off to such as Hemsworth or even South America! Evie-Mae said, “I liked how the book took us on a journey through London. I also didn’t realise that the Queen could run faster than the soldiers.”

Buddy added, “When I wrote my story, the hat went all over Hemsworth before finally landing on Mr Johnson’s car.”

Congratulations to the following children for winning an achievement award at Tuesday’s assembly.
