Surviving The Stone Age

02.12.22

This term, the children in Year 3 have been learning about life in the Stone Age during their history lessons. The children have learnt how people used to live in caves at the start of the Stone Age as they didn’t know how to make houses. However, over time, people discovered that they could use wood and straw to make more comfortable homes. Tools, made from flint, also helped people to survive. Isla said,“For homework, I made a model of a home built in the Stone Age. With no flooring, it would have been uncomfortable to live in.” Nellie added, “I made a model of a spear. To make a spear, people would have used wood, vines and stone. This one might have been used to hunt animals.”
