Last week, the children in year 1 had a visit from two local police community support officers to talk to them about the importance of staying safe. The children learnt about the dangers of talking to a stranger and what they should do if a stranger tries to talk to them. The PCSOs also told the children about the importance of phoning 999 and knowing their own address and phone number in case of an emergency. After the lesson, Ollie said, “We need to have stranger danger when we are out in public and when we are playing on our technology.” Ella added, “You can talk to some strangers. You can trust a safer stranger like a police officer, a doctor or a firefighter.”
Congratulations to the following children for winning an achievement award at Tuesday’s assembly.
