Three children have chosen some new books for the school library as a reward for giving fantastic reviews of the books they’ve read. All of our children visit the library each fortnight. Before they choose a new book, they tell the other children in the class about the book that they have been reading. They know they have given a great recommendation if the other children decide to read that book next. James said, “I really enjoyed reading a book about the Vikings and other children should read this book too. I learnt that the Vikings were farmers as well as invaders.” Ellie added, “In one of the new books, I learnt that the great hall was the biggest room in a castle.”
