Places Of Worship

23/05/2025

Recently, the children in Year 5 walked around our local area to locate and name different places of worship. On their walk, the class found different places of worship. Using what they have learnt in their previous religious education lessons, the children attempted to work out which faiths were represented. They also considered which religious faiths didn’t have a place of worship in Hemsworth and considered why. Angela said, “We saw Saint Helen’s Church, the Methodist Church and the Kingdom Hall. This is because the majority of people who live here are Christian.”  Ben added, “Even though these buildings were all places of Christian worship, they actually looked different from the outside.”

Congratulations to the following children for winning an achievement award at Tuesday’s assembly.
