This week, the School Council had a special meeting with the school’s governing body to share the work they have been doing around mental health. The School Council were able to share the child-friendly mental health and wellbeing policy that they have written this term. They talked about why they have written the policy and the important things that they wanted to include before answering the governors’ questions. Tia said, “Following the pandemic, children’s moods could have been affected. The policy was written to give top tips to help our children.” Levi added, “If something is going on, it is important to speak to someone and that’s why we gave phone numbers on the leaflet for our children to call.”
