Last week, the children in our Upper Foundation class visited the local library to meet the author and illustrator Steve Weatherill. The children took part in an exciting and interactive session that brought his books to life! Steve was able to show the children how he makes his books, draws his characters and let them act out the stories. The children were also able to have a go at drawing some of the characters. Daisy said, “It was amazing! Steve showed me how to draw. Steve was the best drawer ever.” Lillie added, “Steve read us some of his books and I liked when I had to put my hand in the book and it was the fox’s mouth!” Nova added, “I liked when Steve drew the big bad wolf from his story.”
