Recently, the school has learnt that it has been given a donation from the Persimmon Homes Community Champions scheme to develop the school’s gardening area. Initially, the school council came up with the idea of improving the area during one of their meetings. They wanted to make the garden more appealing and use it during their science lessons. The children aim to use the money to buy seeds, plants and equipment. Tia-Jae, a member of the school council said, “After the area has been developed, we want to start a gardening club so that different children can maintain the area.” Georgie added, “The area can also be used by children, should they wish, to support with their mental wellbeing.”
