This week, the children in year 2 had a special visit from two members of Nationwide to help them learn how to manage their money. The class looked at the different ways to pay, including cash, credit cards, debit cards and online payments. Then, they considered why it is important to save and how they can do this, using a bank account or a safe. Finally, the children created a payment record to keep track of some money that they were given. Sunshine said, “You need money to buy important things such as food or clothes. You can pay for these by using your phone and tapping a machine.” Ollie added, “We learnt how we can use a chart to save money each week to plan for something that we want to buy in the future.”

Congratulations to the following children for winning an achievement award at Tuesday’s assembly.
