Last week, the children in Year 6 visited York University as part of the Shine Project so that they could learn more about life in higher education.
The children met different student ambassadors and found out about their courses. They also toured the campus in order to complete an activity trail to find out more about the university’s buildings. They even took part in a mini graduation!
After, Emily said, “I liked finding out about the different courses that you could do at the university. I hope to study English.” William added, “I would like to be an architect when I’m older and going to university would mean I need to study physics and maths to do the job!”
Congratulations to the following children for winning an achievement award at Tuesday’s assembly.
